20+ years remodeling in North Texas

Licensed Commercial & Residential Real Estate Consultant. Serving in Real Estate since 2006.

I've been remodeling homes in North Texas for more than twenty years, and I still own and run Scale Homes myself. The crew on this page works for us, not for whoever is available that week, and most of them have been here for years.

A lot of Dallas remodelers have changed hands lately. We haven't. If you'd like to talk to me before you decide anything, call the number at the top of the page.

What we do

Five kinds of work. All of them done by our own crew.

We don't broker your job out to whoever is free that week. Framing, structural, electrical and finish carpentry are led by the people on this page.

Kitchen remodels by Scale Homes, Dallas–Fort Worth

Kitchen remodels

Full gut-and-rebuild or a layout change that opens the room. Cabinetry, stone, appliances, lighting, and the structural work to move a wall if the plan needs it.

Bathroom remodels by Scale Homes, Dallas–Fort Worth

Bathroom remodels

Waterproofing done to spec, tile set to a drawing, and fixtures that will still look right in ten years.

Whole-home renovations by Scale Homes, Dallas–Fort Worth

Whole-home renovations

Sequenced trade by trade so the house keeps moving forward and you're never living around an idle site.

Additions & structural by Scale Homes, Dallas–Fort Worth

Additions & structural

Covered patios, sunrooms, second-storey additions, load-bearing removals. Engineered and stamped in-house before anything is cut.

New homes & commercial by Scale Homes, Dallas–Fort Worth

New homes & commercial

Ground-up custom homes and commercial finish-out, from foundation to certificate of occupancy.

Not sure it fits?

Ask anyway.

Stone and masonry, outdoor kitchens, garage conversions, clinics and offices. If it's in DFW and it involves a permit, we've probably done one. If it isn't a fit, we'll say so and point you to someone.

Proof, not promises

See our jobs in progress. Right now, from your phone.

Every project gets its own tracking site with dated photos posted the day the work happens. These are real jobs, running now — open one and read it the way our clients do.

Our commitments

Six things you get in writing, on every job.

High-end work isn't only about the finish. It's about not being surprised. These are the rules we run every project by, and you can hold us to them.

  1. 01A written scope before anything is demolished

Line items, allowances, exclusions and a sequence. If we open a wall and find something, you see the revision and approve the price before we carry on.

  2. 02Drawings and engineering from our own staff

A licensed architect and a PE civil engineer are on the team, not on a vendor list. Structural work goes to the city stamped, and code questions get answered before they become change orders.

  3. 03Our own crew, the same people start to finish

The trade leads on this page are employed here, not booked job by job. You'll be introduced to the person running your job before you sign, and that person is on site until the punch list is empty.

  4. 04A daily photo log you can open from your phone

Every job gets its own tracking site. Dated photos go up the day the work happens, so you know what was framed, inspected or tiled without waiting for a Friday update.

  5. 05The owner is a phone call away

Sylvester has run this company for twenty years and still takes the calls. If something on your job isn't right, you can reach the person who owns the business, and he'll know your job by name.

  6. 06The punch list closes before the final payment

We walk the finished job with you, write down every last item, and don't ask for the final draw until that list is empty.

Our work

Kitchens, baths and whole homes we've remodeled across DFW.

Filter by room. Every photograph is a job we ran, photographed by us at handover.

How a job runs

Five steps from first visit to final walkthrough.

No mystery months. You'll know what happens next at every stage, and who is responsible for it.

  1. 1

    Free walkthrough

We come to the house, measure, and tell you what's realistic for the space and the budget. You keep the notes either way.

  2. 2

    Drawings & written scope

Our architect draws it. You get a line-item scope with allowances and exclusions, so the number actually means something.

  3. 3

    Permits & engineering

We submit for pre-approval where the city allows it. Structural work goes out stamped by our engineer.

  4. 4

    Build, documented daily

One crew lead owns your job. Photos go up on your tracking site the day the work happens.

  5. 5

    Punch list & handover

We walk it with you, list every last item, and don't ask for the final payment until the list is empty.

Who does the work

14 people, all of them named. The same crew, job after job.

An owner with 20+ years in remodeling, an architect, a civil engineer, a licensed electrician and the trade leads who run the site. These are employees, not subcontractors booked job by job. Most contractors show you the owner. We show you everyone.

What clients say

In their words.

5.0 on Google from 24 reviews
They completely transformed my property in Frisco, handling the kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, quartz counter top and painting. Sylvester, as the team leader, was there for us every step of the way, helping us secure the best prices for materials and offering very reasonable labor costs.

They offered an unbeatable price and were completely honest throughout the process. I had received quotes that were nearly double, but they got everything installed in less than a week. I highly recommend them, they were flexible, transparent, and easy to work with.

About Scale Homes

Locally owned since 2006. Still run by the people who started it.

Scale Homes started in 2006 as a real estate practice. Buying, selling and managing property across the Metroplex taught us what a house is actually worth, and where remodeling money is well spent and where it isn't. That still shapes every recommendation we make.

Today we're a licensed general contractor with an architect, a civil engineer, a licensed electrician and a full crew of trade leads on staff. We run kitchen and bath remodels, whole-home renovations, additions and ground-up homes for owners and investors, plus commercial finish-out.

Scale Homes is owned and run by Sylvester Amini, who has been remodeling homes in North Texas for more than twenty years. No outside investors, no franchise. The person whose name is on the company is the person responsible for your job.

We are not the cheapest bid you'll get, and we'll tell you honestly when someone else's number is realistic. What you're paying for is a job that finishes on the scope we wrote, by people whose names you already know.
